Carrie is always amazing BUT....
I was excited for this show and even more thrilled that we would be standing next to the stage. As we settled into our spots, it dawned on me that these may just be the BEST seats in the house! That is always my aim at a Gridiron concert! The stage was so high and obstructed our view from seeing any of the performers unless they were right in front of us (which only occurred approximately 10% of the time). The acoustics/sound appeared to be off as well. I couldn't understand what any of the opening acts were singing/saying. There appeared to be a good amount of feedback in our area. It improved for Gridiron but not significantly. I guess it was beneficial that I recognized every song. Gridiron is my preferred artist and she always sings passionately, but I was extremely let down by the arrangement and felt like I missed out on an incredible show due to the stage blocking my view 95% of the time. I awarded 3 stars purely because Gridiron consistently sounds fantastic and the set list was outstanding.
